Sports

I wouldn't really call myself a sports photographer, but with all the sports my kids play I have had the opportunity to dabble in photographing soccer, softball, swimming, volleyball and now, basketball. I suppose it's good practice. They sure move around a lot though, and I'm not sure if I like the gym lighting. I prefer natural light, but I'm glad for them they get to play in the gym.

My daughter's favorite History teacher and his family have a house that backs up to the Newport Back Bay. We found some really great spots for some family portraits. Love the geometric shape of the drain pipe in contrast to the organic setting.

Henry woke up and looked out the window and said, "Mom, it's snowing!" "No, it's not" I said. "Yes, it is" he insisted, and it was true. We woke up in Idylwild and it was a white Thanksgiving. Were we prepared? No. Not after running the 5K Turkey Trot in Dana Point in 80 degree weather the day before.

Had to share my space with another photographer today at the park. That was a little akward. "Are you going to use this tree?" In any case, we had fun and found some good settings. Diana, I made them black and white, as oppose to gray.
